Jess’s Rule will ‘take away GPs’ autonomy and clog up the referral system’, say doctors

GPs have expressed fears that Jess’s Rule could place a significant strain on an already overstretched system.

The new patient safety initiative, named after Jessica Brady who died of cancer at age 27, requires GPs in England to "reflect, review and rethink" if a patient presents three times with the same or escalating symptoms without a substantiated diagnosis.
