Kemi Badenoch ‘would simply ban doctors' strikes if she was in power

Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch has pledged to ban doctors from striking if her party returns to power, as resident doctors begin a five-day walkout today over a dispute about pay.

Speaking during a visit to Essex, she criticised the Labour government's handling of the ongoing dispute, arguing that doctors should be placed in the same category as the Army and police, who are prohibited from taking industrial action.
