Lasting physical decline for breast cancer survivors after chemotherapy

A lasting decline in physical health has been found in breast cancer survivors receiving chemotherapy or endocrine therapy, in a large study.

The US study of 15,392 women found that survivors had greater fatigue and a reduced ability to carry out activities of daily life over the first 2 years after diagnosis, than individuals who were cancer free.1
