Leadless pacemaker provisionally recommended by NICE

Leadless pacemakers could be used more widely for patients with bradyarrhythmias after the procedure was recommended for the NHS in draft NICE guidance.

The device is implanted directly into the internal wall of the heart through a catheter inserted via a vein in the leg or neck.
