Learning opportunities important factor for migrating doctors, GMC finds

Learning and development opportunities are an important factor for almost nine out of 10 (87%) international doctors considering where to migrate – but UK pay is considered low, according to a General Medical Council survey.

Career progression was also highly important for 86% of respondents, according to the research into the factors that determine whether overseas-qualified doctors choose to pursue their careers in the UK or go elsewhere.
