Lung cancer signs may be mistaken for comorbidities – study

Diagnosis of lung cancer may be delayed due to the presence of comorbidities such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), a new study suggests.

Symptoms of these conditions have the potential to mask signs of lung cancer, says Dr Imogen Rogers, research fellow in health services at Brighton and Sussex Medical School.
