Medical student team show how to act 'within their competence level'

A medical student team has been praised for a project aimed at ensuring new doctors know how to refuse to do tasks for which they are not trained.

The team at the University of Edinburgh won the annual competition run by the General Medical Council and the Medical Schools Council. This year the organisers asked students to develop an online resource for 'acting appropriately to their skill level as a doctor in training'.
