Medics save newborn’s life in rare EXIT procedure

A team of 50 specialist medics in London have saved a newborn baby’s life in a globally rare procedure.

Freddie Verschueren was delivered at St George’s hospital in South West London using the Ex-utero Intrapartum Treatment (EXIT) procedure which delivers babies who could potentially have serious challenges at birth.
