Meningitis B vaccine and antibiotics offered in Dorset schools after three cases

Antibiotics and vaccinations are being offered to secondary school pupils in Dorset after three cases of meningococcal disease were confirmed in young people.

UK public health officials said the three cases – in pupils at two different schools - have been confirmed as group B strain and are the same sub-strain type, but a different sub-strain, to the cases seen in Kent last month.
