Meningitis patients should be offered charity support says NICE

Doctors should advise patients with bacterial meningitis or meningococcal disease, and their families, on how to access support, including charity contact details, new recommendations state.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence guidance now covers young people and adults rather than just children, as in the previous clinical guideline of 2010.
