Minimum number of GPs compared to patients needed, says think tank

Boosting NHS staff nationally "is not enough" to improve access for patients, according to a leading health think tank which has suggested the next government sets a minimum number of GPs compared to patients in local areas.

The Nuffield Trust said there is a postcode lottery of NHS staff between services, settings and regions.
