Mix of graphic and text information helps patients weigh up medicine decisions

Patients find it easier to make healthcare decisions when given information in a mix of graphical and text form, a study has shown.

In a trial involving more than 2,000 adults, participants were given information on five fictional treatments for social anxiety. Participants felt less conflicted about their decision when the information was presented through a mix of graphics and text.
