New clinical standards for maternity services to be rolled out by 2027

The government has set out new clinical standards for NHS maternity services, including more risk assessments in early pregnancy, to be rolled out by next year.

Developed with frontline clinicians, the best practice standards will form part of the NHS’s maternal care bundle and cover five areas of clinical care associated with the leading causes of maternal deaths identified by MBRRACE-UK reports.
