New consultant and SAS vote in favour of strikes

The threat to the NHS from doctor strikes has grown, after a union's consultant and SAS members vote in favour of industrial action for the first time.

The Hospital Consultants and Specialists Association announced that its consultant and specialist, associate specialist and specialty doctor members have voted in favour of strike action.
