NHS facing ‘devastating’ winter again says RCEM

The number of patients facing 12 hour waits in emergency departments is growing as the NHS faces a “devastating” repeat of last winter, the Royal College of Emergency Medicine has warned.

The college says the summer proved “challenging” but the first data for the autumn shows waiting times increasing fast.
