NHS trust warned of ‘neglect’ after failing to spot patient’s terminal lung cancer sooner

A coroner who warned an NHS trust over its “neglect” of a woman after failing to identify her cancer sooner has raised concerns about inconsistent patient information provided to radiologists.

Radiologists were not given a summary of patients’ symptoms and medical history when interpreting scans, according to the evidence heard by the coroner investigating the death of Anne Dyson.
