NHS will struggle to last another year without reform, says BMA

A doctors’ trade union has warned that without “transformative” and urgent reforms, the NHS will struggle to see out another New Year.

Dr Iain Kennedy, chairman of the British Medical Association Scotland, said in his annual New Year message on Tuesday that current evidence suggests there will be a large increase in people who do not believe the NHS can provide them with adequate care, forcing them to go private.
