A US neurologist recorded as the oldest-ever practising doctor has died aged 103.
Dr Howard Tucker, from Cleveland, Ohio in the United States worked in his field until just two months before his death on 22 December 2025, Guiness World Records said.
He practised medicine from 1947 to 2022, originally entering the record books in 2021 when he was recognised as the oldest practising doctor at 98 years 231 days.
Tucker even kept working during the pandemic, teaching medical residents and treating patients at St Vincent Charity Medical Center.
As he was also a lawyer, he spent time teaching both medical and law students at Case Western Reserve University.
His grandson Austin told Guinness World Records: “When I think about my grandpa’s personality and his approach to his work, the word ‘curiosity’ comes to mind.
“Well into his 90s and even to 103, my grandfather wanted to understand the world around him and the technology around him.
