One in six GP surgery buildings to get funding to upgrade

The government is investing extra money to upgrade one in six GP surgery buildings in England "to deliver millions more appointments" paid for by the rise in employer National Insurance contributions.

The British Medical Association has welcomed the extra funding but warned the amount would "barely pay for a handful of individual new surgeries".
