Parkinson’s patient playing clarinet during surgery sees instant improvements

A woman with Parkinson’s disease has played her clarinet while undergoing brain stimulation, enabling neurosurgeons to see – and hear – immediate results.

Denise Bacon, 65, from Crowborough in East Sussex, experienced instant improvement in her finger movements as the electrical current was delivered to her brain.
