Patients still unclear about PAs, say NHS leaders

New medical associate professional (MAP) roles remain “poorly understood” by the public despite their expansion, according to guidance from the body representing NHS employers.

These posts, which include physician associates (PAs), are developing rapidly with growing numbers “particularly noticeable” in primary care, NHS Employers said.
