Global sum payments for GP practices ‘barely cover’ staffing costs, leading to real terms decline in net income – a British Medical Association analysis has found.

Obtaining data from 61 unique practices in England, the BMA found that on average practices saw a 1.1% decrease in net income when adjusted for CPI inflation in 2024/25.
