Rules for partial retirement which often force doctors to cut their hours should be scrapped, pension experts and the British Medical Association have said.

Almost 4,000 doctors have taken up partial retirement in the 2 years since the option was extended to the 1995 section of the NHS pension, an analysis has revealed.
