Plan for general practice ‘glaringly absent’ from the budget, says BMA

The funding boost for the NHS announced in the Autumn Budget is a “promising start” but it failed to offer a “concrete plan to rebuild general practice”, the British Medical Association has said.

On Wednesday, the chancellor announced a cash injection for the NHS day-to-day spending and for capital investment but the BMA said it would not “put the NHS back on its feet immediately”.
