Stopping doctors and other health professionals from discussing assisted dying with a patient unless that person has first raised it “totally wrecks the doctor patient relationship”, MPs have heard.

The Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill returned to the House of Commons on Friday for the report stage, giving MPs the opportunity to consider amendments to the proposed legislation.
