Private cancer treatment surges as NHS cancer waits persist

An increasing number of patients in the UK appear to be opting for private healthcare for their cancer treatment, figures suggest.

Data from the Private Healthcare Information Network (PHIN) said for the first time there were more admissions for chemotherapy than for any other procedure including cataracts.
