The Royal College of Physicians has apologised "unreservedly for any confusion" over its member survey on physician associates (PAs), which resulted in criticism from members.
An analysis of the results, presented at the college's extraordinary general meeting on the role and regulation of physician associates last week, led to accusations of "bias" in how the data was represented.
