Reform immigration plans will cause international doctors 'anxiety and distress'

Plans from Reform UK to end the right of migrants to qualify for permanent settlement in the UK after 5 years will cause “anxiety and distress” for international doctors, the British Medical Association has warned.

If Reform wins the next election, leader Nigel Farage said it will abolish indefinite leave to remain (ILR), for which migrants can currently apply after 5 years, and force them to renew their visa every 5 years.
