Resident doctor strikes to go ahead this week, BMA says

A strike by resident doctors in England due to start on Friday will go ahead, the British Medical Association has confirmed.

The union said that health secretary Wes Streeting failed to make an offer to "meet the scale" of the challenges faced by resident doctors.
