Resident doctors to vote on extending strike mandate

Resident doctors in England are to be reballoted for a further six months of potential industrial action, the BMA has announced.

The union's resident doctors committee (RDC) will ballot its members from 8 December 2025 to 2 February 2026, asking whether they are prepared to take action over lack of jobs and pay erosion. The current strike mandate expires in January.
