Second measles death in Texas outbreak confirmed by US health secretary

A second child has died during a measles outbreak in Texas that has seen almost 500 people fall ill, according to US health and human services secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr.

Kennedy confirmed the death of an 8-year-old girl, posting on social media that he had visited her family to be “with the community in their moment of grief”.
