Sepsis patients may benefit from ketogenic diet

A ketogenic diet may bring clinical benefits for patients in intensive care for sepsis, a new study suggests.

"The effects of a ketogenic diet on T cells suggest that it may have potential to counteract the immune dysregulation seen in sepsis,” report Simone Kreth, professor at the Walter Brendel Center of Experimental Medicine, University of Munich, Germany and colleagues.1
