'Serious and constant' impact of alcohol on patient health uncovered in doctors' survey

One in four doctors say at least half their workload is made up of patients whose conditions have been caused or made worse by alcohol dependence.

A survey in June carried out by the Royal College of Physicians (RCP) found one in ten doctors believed alcohol contributed to more than half of their average caseload.
