Single patient record: Doctors' leaders raise data security fears

Doctors’ leaders have raised concerns about data security ahead of new legislation expected to require GPs and hospitals to share patient information.

Legislation to create a single patient record (SPR) for each person, which would be used across all healthcare providers, is expected to be part of the King’s speech on Wednesday, the Sunday Times reported.
