Spinal cord stimulation shows chronic pain benefit in study

Spinal cord stimulation therapy for chronic back and lower extremity pain has been found more effective than standard treatment in an analysis.

The systematic review and meta-analysis of 13 randomised clinical trials included 1,561 patients. It showed that both conventional and novel spinal cord stimulation (SCS) techniques were associated with higher efficacy after 6 months of follow-up.1
