Stem cell therapies for Parkinson’s deemed safe in clinical trials

Using stem cell therapies to repair or replace damaged cells in the brains of patients with Parkinson’s disease has been shown to be safe in early clinical trials.

The findings also provide some hope that the transplanted cells could improve symptoms of the neurological condition, but much more research is needed to test the effectiveness of the treatments.
