Streeting disputes £3bn pharma deal cost, insists no NHS cuts needed

The health secretary has insisted no NHS services will be cut to fund a pharmaceutical deal with the US, despite a independent body forecasting it could reach in excess of £3 billion.

Wes Streeting is facing questions about how the government will finance an agreement that raises the NHS's spending threshold for new medicines by 25% in return for keeping US tariffs on UK pharmaceutical exports at zero for three years.
