Could a month that has seen a pay offer for consultants and a new health secretary be a turning point in doctors’ industrial dispute - or will strikes continue through the winter into 2024?

For doctors, this year has been defined by industrial action, including the longest ever period of strikes in NHS history, with trainee doctors voting for action in February, followed by consultants in June.
