A GP placed on the sex offenders register has had “a huge” impact on patient trust at his practice, a tribunal heard before striking him off the medical register.
Dr Nicholas Chapman was convicted of attempting to cause a person to engage in sexual activity without consent after he gave a woman a cup of coffee containing semen matching his DNA profile.
He was made subject to a 12-month community order, a restraining order and ordered to sign the sex offenders register in June 2023 following the conviction at Gloucester crown court, the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service heard.
The panel also found that he had sexually harassed a different woman, referred to during proceedings as Ms A.
Between 2016 and 2021, he sent her an explicit photo of himself, pornographic pictures of women and asked if she had found him on a dating site.
In 2020 he kissed her on the lips and, in 2021, touched her bottom, the panel found.
