Surgeon jailed for fraud over amputation of his own legs

A vascular surgeon has been jailed for 32 months after admitting fraud relating to the amputation of his own legs.

Mr Neil Hopper, 49, carried out hundreds of amputation operations before having his own legs removed in 2019.
