Tool developed to reduce stroke risk

A tool has been developed to help doctors identify patients at risk of atrial fibrillation.

Researchers at the University of East Anglia say there are four specific factors that can predict which patients will have atrial fibrillation: older age, higher diastolic blood pressure and problems with both the coordination and function of the upper left chamber of the heart.
