Trainee doctor felt unable to speak out against ‘golden boy’ surgeon, tribunal hears

A medic said she did not speak out against a “golden boy” transplant surgeon when he touched her inappropriately at work because she did not feel she would be believed or supported, a tribunal has heard.

Consultant James Gilbert is accused of sexually harassing female colleagues, making racist comments and abusing his senior position on various dates between 2009 and 2022.
