‘True horror’ of how ill-prepared UK is for a pandemic revealed by inquiry

The “true horror” of how "appallingly under-prepared" the UK was, and still is, for a pandemic has been revealed by the Covid Inquiry, the British Medical Association said.

The union also warned that the UK is "still poorly equipped, understaffed and underprepared" to manage a future pandemic.
