Trust U-turns on cuts to doctors’ overtime pay

A Midlands hospital trust has agreed to reverse its decision to cut pay rates for doctors working extra-contractual hours.

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB) said it had heard the “overwhelming strength of feeling” from the medical community over the “proposed medical bank rate” changes, which were due to be implemented on 11 November.
