UK medical graduates to be prioritised for training places under proposed legislation

Medical graduates from the UK and Ireland will be prioritised for training places under new legislation proposed by the government in a move welcomed by doctors’ leaders.

The changes are for specialty training and foundation posts across the UK and will be “in place for this year’s applicants”, Wes Streeting said.
