UK screening committee to consult on sudden cardiac death testing next year

An independent expert committee is reviewing population testing for sudden cardiac death the government has confirmed after campaigners called for active young people to be routinely screened.

Health minister Ashley Dalton said the National Screening Committee is currently looking at the evidence for sudden cardiac death and will open a public consultation early next year.
