WHO warns of measles surge across Europe amidst drop in vaccine uptake

Cases of measles across Europe reached the highest level seen in a quarter of a century in 2024, the World Health Organization has warned.

The resurgence saw measles cases double to 127,350 last year across the 53 countries that form the WHO European Region, the agency said.
