A woman found dead at a house near the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk has been named locally as a GP, as a man is held on suspicion of her murder.
Dr Hannah Terry was found at an address in Fern Hill, Dersingham, just over one mile from Sandringham House, in the early hours of Sunday.
A notice on the website of Grimston Medical Centre, where Dr Terry is listed as a member of the practice team, says it is “temporarily closed due to extremely difficult circumstances affecting our practice team”.
Terry, who is also known by her married name Hannah Cain, has not been officially identified. Norfolk Police said officers found the body of a woman in her 40s after they were called by the ambulance service shortly after 2.20am on Sunday.
A man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of murder and taken to King’s Lynn police investigation centre for questioning, the force added.
